“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
In last Sunday’s sermon we considered several ways in which God comes to us through His word. How is God revealing Himself to you today? Let’s consider forgiveness.
God’s word says a great deal about sin, death and forgiveness. The wages of sin have always been death but we have been set free from that slavery! (Romans 6:20-23) On the cross of Calvary, Jesus took the punishment of your sin, all of it for all of them (Isaiah 53:12).
So take a few minutes and confess your sins to God your Father. Feel them lifted from your shoulders, their burden of guilt and shame being taken away. They are forgiven because of Jesus (1 John 2:12)!
May your heart burn within you today, as God reveals Himself to you, as He comes along and walks with you today, through His words of forgiveness!
